Si Cantina Sociale

There’s something for everyone at this vibey restaurant in the buzzing Silo District of Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront – whether you’re in search of a burger, a good pizza or a plate of nachos, Si Cantina Sociale will not disappoint. It’s become known for its pizzas and as a nice after-work drinks spot, and puts the social in “sociale” with a lively energy and the occasional quiz and karaoke night. On the menu, among meaty dishes such as chicken tacos and flame-grilled lamb chops, you’ll find quite a few good vegetarian options, including a scrumptious “laughing Buddha” salad bowl, a cauliflower stack, vegan burger and an inventive, sweet chilli-and-butternut pizza with roasted butternut, mozzarella, feta, pumpkin seeds, praline and rocket. The drinks list includes some great cocktails and there are some good wine options by the glass. Staff are efficient and friendly, and the manager is very hands-on and professional.
