Eat Out Neighbourhood Gems is a brand built on a simple idea: the people who know food best – the chefs, restaurant owners, professionals who live and breathe this industry – sharing which restaurants deserve your attention. This is the home of those recommendations; where South Africa's food community reveals the restaurants they return to again and again, because the food is just that good. Please note: this is entirely separate from the Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Awards judging process, and does not impact your chances of getting a star. In addition, self-nominations are not accepted for Neighbourhood Gems. Any new nominations that are received will be eligible for 2027.
